Is there a way to kill Volo?
I desperately want to, but attacking him outside of camp seems to just make him go invisible and escape, and attacking him IN camp turns everyone else hostile.

He just showed up in my camp randomly uninvited, there's no options to tell him to leave lmao. I can't use violence to make him go.

How can you kill Volo? I want him dead.

None, it also wouldn't make sense for him to die lore wise as he is a Chosen, which are linked to the gods.

Ah. Well that is unfortunate.

Without spoiling anything in this game (BG3), I remember in another game I played (Neverwinter Nights: Storm of Zehir) it was mentioned he's favoured by the deity of luck Tymora. Is that why he is invincible?

If you wait till act III you may find him tied up by a mob of tadpoled hooligans, tied to a collection of black-powder filled barrels. Fail to save him and he blows up.

You could see if you can CC him with something like Hold Person and 1 shot him with a melee crit. Just go into turn-based mode first.

But he's a pretty useful merchant, he sells some decent scrolls throughout the game. He also leaves later on a little as someone else said above. He will also leave if you agree to some "surgery".

He can be left for dead in many ways, but there are two places you can kill him:
The goblin prison (if you get him prisioner and you dont start killing goblins), the factory (as mentioned). But he might be killed in the groove if you decide to not wait until siding with the Goblins to start the house cleaning.

Tymora favors him.

Mystra also used him to remake herself.

As a chosen she invested part of her power within him without his knowledge as kind of a backup plan in case anything happened to her.

Well things happened, she died but because of the backups she made she was able to remake herself.

lmao there's a mod which makes him killable but the weave will break as a result. As a consequence all spells in the game get the unstable "wild magic" status so any time anyone in the game casts it'll always be something random :lukasLaugh:

Sadly I doubt that kills him when it comes to cannon.

He has had a ton of close calls like that over the years where people thought he was dead and it turned out to be an illusion (or in some cases he doesn't even know how he survived, ahem Gods probably saved him since he is a chosen)

That would kind of fit since he is a chosen of mystra.

Killing one of them is supposed to mess with her weave.

And as far as chosen go he would likely be one of the easiest to kill (the others are all comparable to demi gods. He was chosen as kind of like a phylactery and was never consciously aware of the power invested in him)

Don't kill him. not only is he a vendor you can pickpocket daily in act 1 in your camp(best healer ring in game) he gives one of the best buffs when you head off to face the nether brain

The eyeball buff is too good to pass up. Though if that actually happened to me I would definitely want too lol
Sebastián Jun 5, 2024 @ 11:41pm
Volo's buff is useful. You should kill halsin and cullagh instead.
Kappa Jun 5, 2024 @ 11:58pm
Did you try attacking them during tactical mode?

Btw, trust me, waiting for act 3 is incredibly rewarding and satisfying ( You don’t need his buff, though it’s pretty nice ).
You can kill Volo and then if you quit combat in camp, nobody will remain hostile. Just run away, pop an invis pot and wait till combat ends. If they don't detect you, they'll go back to normal.
