[FIXED] Are achievements not working at the moment?

Not that's too important, but was just wondering if it's an issue with anyone else? I've been trying to get the 'Leave no one behind' achievement and no matter what I do it won't trigger.

I have definitely gone through all the steps to keep all of them alive. Even went so far as to use another save file that has completed to check and it still won't trigger.

FIX: Try restarting steam. Might even have to do it multiple times. I noticed on my steam the global achievements were showing 0%, so it was something on that end that was most likely causing the issue. After restarting it finally worked.

What makes achievements worth it for a normal game? They are basically pointless unless I get a t-shirt or something. I don't get the appeal.

Ideally, they suggest fun new ways to play a game, clue you into strategies you may have not been aware of, or provide a checklist for someone looking to get absolutely everything out of a game. They tend to work best in sandbox-y games where you may not be aware of all of your options, or quickly run out of goals to keep you going.

In the case of BG3, however, the achievements are half-assed and pointless, even by RPG standards. They're only included because they're the expectation these days.

No mods no. Just doesn't seem to be triggering so was wondering if it may be a patch issue or something as everything was working fine before.

I got an achievement two days ago by accident -- I didn't even know it was a thing, So if there is a problem, it isn't global.

Oh i'm not sure then. I even tried re-installing and everything so not sure how else to fix it on my end. Hopefully I can hear from more people to verify if it's just me or something

My guess is that it's something wrong with that particular achievement. It's fairly complex.

Looks like I got an achievement 1-2 hours ago. Means that achievements still work. So it either is that particular achievement or something else.

Just use Achievements Enabler mod to circumvent it.

They usually do in other games, but I'm playing modded co-op with my girlfriend and still getting achievements. No need for a special mod to enable them here.

all mods disable achievements actually, you're using another mod to re-enable them

I got a different achievement, sorry, the one for attacking five times in one round.

Which is why I said "an achievement"... it may be just the achievement you want that is bugged.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, should have phrased it more clearly.

I can give you savegames if you tell me how to do that, but they probably won't help you.

(Achievements are secondary for me anyway, it is nice to get them, but roleplaying and drama comes first...)

I also think have followed all the steps to obtain this achievement but still nothing
I'm at the end of act 3, maybe we need to finish the game??
or maybe the problem is the old save?

"Leave no one behind" only triggered for me after finishing the game, if memory serves.
