I had thought about either him or Edward Elric for my next youtube playthrough. Ed I kinda see as an eldrich knight.
lnuyasha would be chaos magic barbian with min int stats. because with him. anything can happen. anything.
the other class with weapons bond is blade pack warlock, but Sesshomaru kicks ass with bad assery instead of chekky magic.
Thanks :)
If some of the classes from 3.5 were still around he would fit the sword sage rather well though.
They were mystical swordsmen who depending on which of the 9 fighting styles you were using from the "Tome of Battle, book of 9 swords" could tap into mystical effects to unleash waves of energy, heal people, move with insane speed, vanish into the shadows and teleport etc....
To get it to work with 5e stuff in game you would have to have a very weird mash up of monk, rogue, fighter and wizard.
And even then it would be a stretch.
Thanks, but I might just keep it simple with eldrich knight like the other person suggested. XD
Requires mods.

Though I think that sword saint class is a homebrew.
I guess he's not really a Samurai, but there's a mod for that, too. (Actually, more than one.)
Oh, and if you want them to wield a katana, there's a few good mods at Nexus also, as the game contains a grand total of one katana in it in Act 3. (It appears to have been Yoshimo's from BG3.)
Sword saint was homebrew that some people did to try to bring it over from pathfinder 1e (it was a monk or magus subclass if I remember right) much like the gunslinger is a homebrewed class that mat mercer tried to bring over from pathfinder 1-2e.
But ya you are correct, a heavily modified way of the elements monk would kind of fit.
