[SOLVED] Constant corrupted saves

Hi there, this is now my third time having a 30+ hour honor mode run get a corrupted save. I use a mod to change shadowheart's hair but I doubt that's what's doing it. I still have the saves in my saved games folder and the thumbnail is where I left off, but it doesn't appear in game and if I hit continue, I hard crash to desktop. I tried turning off cloud saves and that didn't do anything for me. No idea if I can fix this or how to prevent it in the future. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Rule of thumb : If you have issues that no one really reports, and have mods installed, start first by completely (and properly) uninstalling mods.
If it persists, it might be a game issue, see if someone else has the same issue, otherwise report to larian directly.

I prefer honor mode for the increased difficulty, but like you, don't want to give up appearance mods. My last 2 honor mode saves corrupted after a crash from the video card during the game. It happened with the mod to allow multiple honor mode saves and with that not installed and having the standard single save, didn't seem to make a difference.

Once you have a crash to desktop, the save becomes corrupted. The one with the multiple saves allowed me to load previous saves, but any saves I made after the reload and crash would also be corrupted.

in case anyone ever finds this with the same issue: I turned off steam cloud saves under properties, went to my BG3 saves folder in %appdata% -> Local, copied "story" to my desktop, launched the game, closed the game, re-enabled steam cloud, left the saves on my desktop, relaunched the game, and it fixed my saves!!

Sounds great, I will have to try on next play , which will be honor mode. Playing tactician and it's too easy.
