Or maybe you were RPing so much that you acted as your character would and are now upset about the results? But then again, you say you went on YT to make your decision for you, so I dunno.
So I see the problem. There's no way to convince Orpheus or the Guard that you're on their side.
However, there is a lot more Gith politics to come.
Without going into spoilers, why did you go against the Emperor then?
Do the honour guard not just attack you and is it not impossble to communicate with Orpheus at that point?
The Emperor just tells you constantly that he is the only one, who keeps the group from turning into flayers - maybe he was right after all...
Without going too much into spoiler territory, you'll have options later on that go very well against his interests. I suggest sticking it out for now and experience the rest of the game, it'd be a shame if you let that single instance ruin it for you.
