Karlach’s romance is good because she’s such a positive person and genuine in how she feels and expresses it…I really enjoyed being able to RP through her becoming able to touch and express the things she’s been unable to.

Lae’zel romance is also great because while it starts of like she’s a horny Klingon, as it continues she softens as a person and develops her attitudes and beliefs and becomes more than just a Gith warrior with superiority complex. I know her sudden directness is off putting to some people but her romantic storyline is really worth doing.

Haven’t finished my playthrough romancing Shadowheart yet.

I'm basic, very basic: It's Astarion. Love the tragic backstory, love him still being an evil bastard (I am not in the "I can fix him"-camp, because spawn or ascended, he never becomes good), love how supportive he is to resisting Durge and love the fact that he's a vampire.

Of the ladies, Karlach is my favorite. She always tells you what's the score, unlike the other characters she's not hiding anything. She is who she is, and she's honest about dealing with something I think would make other people paralyzed, ... she's dying.

Yeah, I'm actually impressed with how much character development that Lae'Zel gets over the course of her story, but I still think Karlach is my favorite, even with my dissatisfaction about the poor way her story is handled in act 3. I just really like her as a character.

I'm still trying to romance someone other than Astarion after about four playthroughs...I have seen other romances via multiplayer playthroughs and I think it only confirms he would still be my favorite. I enjoy the growth of his character and he gets some of the best emotional conversations if you are playing as a redemption Dark Urge. I tried to romance Gale on my honor run and made it to act 2 before I abandoned it because I missed Astarion too much.

Lae'zel is my favorite so far. I like how it's not just all oh your cute and I think I like you that you get with a few other characters, but you have to really work at it to get her to see you as more then a means to an end. There is a time when you can even get her to admit she misses you, and she turns her head away and seems embarrassed.

She starts off harsh too and says and does whatever she is feeling in the moment, but once you've established your romance with her she calms down some and it starts to really feel genuine. If you play as another Gith like I'm doing in one of my playthroughs and romance her you can get a really good ending with her. ^^

So far I've romanced everyone except Minthara, and I've got to say my favorite are Lae'zel and Astarion, they are both mean to you at the beginning but both get sweeter as you progress through the game. I love Karlach but I feel too sad that her entire thing is literally just... dying and it doesn't let me pick her first, because I'd rather she go with Wyll to Avernus so she can live. Least would probably be Wyll since he has almost no character and is just there, nothing changes when you romance him.
I'm doing a Durge run now before the patch comes out to understand the changes, and I wish being a Durge impacted the relationships more, maybe that will change after the patch.

Does anyone have any recommendations on who are good characters to romance if I play as a Durge? (I know Astarion is a good choice...but who else?) :3

I have not romanced gale or halsin yet.

But my list for best romance would be

Karlach, Cute and cheerful person but also emotional moments at times, She also get 2 very steamy love scenes

Astarion (Just felt like you got a lot of story and emotional moments)

Shadowheart, Drawing a blank what to write honestly, but i enjoyed it.

Lae'zel A lot of character devlopment that was nice to see.

Wyll, Did Wyll on my Karlach Origin playthrough, But he's too much of a "I will wait until we can do this proper" kind of person, so you don't really get much out of the romance at all until very far into act 3.

Minthara was with my durge, But since she is just act 3 romance it feels very lacking in content and the only romance scene stuff you get is some tender moments but no actual bed scene or cutscene.

I heard that Halsin is the same as Minthara, just act 3 romance, which after seeing Minthara i expected to be lacking a bunch of content, thus i never bothered with it.

Gale is my romance in the 7th playthrough, but that one is on hold atm, too much other stuff released that i have to spend time on

Girl on Girl is always the best option :)
