Steam and Gog have both had sales[isthereanydeal.com]. Temporarily reduced prices is not a measurement of success or failure.
It is 15% off at Steam. It is also the lowest price since release.
But yeah it is a bit more obvious the game was a success from sales numbers and player numbers. And making it into South Park, honestly.
It depends on the publisher too.
Capcom for instance tends to discount their games fairly quickly even tho they sell well.
