Accidentally picked a fight with the Druids
Shadow Curse
Drider
Accidentally jumped into a chasm with last party member alive trying to get to others to revive scroll.
Harpies.
Bulett
Susser Tree Hook Horrors
Bernard
Gale aura
Siege on Last Light Inn
Gold monster (This one ALSO really irritated me.)
Raphael (I dont do this encounter in honor mode anymore)
Duergar before grymforge (♥♥♥♥ you Ai and your infinite spell slots to counterspell)
Forgot you die if you go back to act 1 during act 2.
Trying to save Minsc.
Trying to save Minthara.
I didnt save Volo in time and everyone was an inch away from him trying to get rid of the barrels.
Didnt escape underwater prison in time.

This was an immense journey filled with frustration and triumph. I dont think I want to play the game anymore unless a friend asks to play multiplayer.

What is your most hated enemy or fight that has killed you the most?

The Githyanki Captain AFTER the Inquisitor battle is my most memorable death for me.
I'd just levelled up and got all the cool loot from the Inquisitor room so I was feeling super strong and then bam, overconfidence and not respecting my enemy enough led to that honour mode run ended lol.

Gith don't mess about!

How did you forget Gale twice?

I was on a roll and decided to long rest before bombing the hag in her house and then had to long rest again afterward because it detonated Laezel and Wyll and I wanted to go clear out the blighted village before moving on. He just kinda slipped my mind.

One was also real early in my attempts and the other way later.

Talking back to Vlaakith. Gets them every time. :steamhappy:

(Wouldn't believe how many posts of people complaining about it wasn't fair that insulting someone who considers herself a deity right to her face would result in death without recourse.)

In all 3 attempts at honour mode (we really tryharded), we never even attempted the Inquisitor, in the crèche. He was buried in a smokepowder tomb, and sent away with utmost respect.

My solution to him was use Lae Zel with hill giant strength to throw a backpack filled with firewine and smokepowder and a lit torch across the room to give him the Demoman.TF2 treatment

I wish I had a friend to seriously try honor mode at some point. It would have made it so much easier and more gratifying. But I after the first few attempts I basically never tried to kill Grym, the spectator, do Thaniel's quest, the hag unless I could instantly blow her up with explosive filled backpack nuke in the teahouse when I eventually concocted the strategy of doing that and using arcane lock on the stairs just in case, or fight the Drider with anything less than 3 sanctuary moonbeam combos. It was incredibly tedious.

Another thing that helps is if you are cheesing merchants for infinite gold, or just have enough money regardless, the merchants resupply every time you level up so you can level one character, do a run of all the merchants for scrolls/potions/reagents then level another and do it again and again. at the end of the game I had a stash of ~2000 health potions and greater health potions just in case.

I died one time at the ooze in grymforge. I used a arrow of many targets with combustion oil and tried to cast a fireball and my char went forward by accident and blew himself and the oozes up.

On my 2nd honor mode run now well into act 3, Gith inquisitor battle was my death in the first run, had 3 rounds of misses with my paladin (last standing player) and died to RNG with the inquisitor at 4 HP those last rounds.

Use slow on the Grym, no reason to be dying there with that 1 spell. Enter moonrise from docks in the rear, don't ever go in through the front door with the enemies all set up. Same goes for the next to final battle, either go invisible and sneak to the elevated platform or fly to one of the towers in front if you want more of a battle...or find the secret upper city sewer route on the left that gets you to the elevated platform in the back right corner.

Meanwhile here's a youtube video of Mae clearing honor mode in less than 19 minutes....

The dying mind flayer at the nautiloid crash site killed me on my first run... I now snipe them on sight.

I'm actually a little annoyed because I started Honour Mode thinking I'd die over and over, do multiple runs, try out new builds, etc. I had all these characters in mind. And then I went and finished it with my first guy...

You know, that you can enter moonrise without having to fight, before you free the nightsong? And you can even kill all the cultists beforehand and just walk in later to fight Ketheric.

The trick to Honor Mode is to pick Alert as your first feat on all of your characters. Going first with your whole team is just so powerfull. Most fights are over before they even begin.

My most tragic death so far was in the kresh on the way to collect the blood of lythander and having one of the traps blow the entire party off the edge when i was standing on the rocks below to disarm one of the later traps, sat there in shock for a few seconds because i had gotten past there so many times and never gotten knocked down from the trap
