Can't find Kar'niss

I went into the shadowlands via the monastery and killed the goblins where you summon him. I then teleported to the Grymforge and continued from there. He should be around the house but he isn't there nor can I Summon him with the lyre. I've explored the entire battlefield but he's nowhere to be found. I still have the quest Follow the Convoy but the step I'm on (Find the Guide) isn't even on the Wiki list. Any help?

When I entered the Shadow-Cursed Lands from the Mountain Pass, I went all the way to save the hyena, Hyena, from abuse (and death) and went back to enter via Grymforge. That required me to parlay with the Harpers when traveling through the Shadow-Cursed Lands from that route.

Did you somehow manage to slip by the Harpers?

Pretty sure the dialogue with the goblins there is needed to then progress the game to where the lyre will work. The lyre is played with or without proficiency as part of the script rather than just going to that spot and playing it.

Finding the Harpers and following them to the inn is probably your only path now to moonrise.

If you can't find it, you can sneak into Moonrise through some clever platforming and get what you need in there.

Did you just kill all the goblins before talking to them? I was able to summon him with the illithid wisdom somehow, think it was a dialogue with the goblins though. If you play the spider lute in their camp he should show up, idk.
