Will Larian control mods like NexusMod does?
Perhaps someone remembers, but some mods were removed, for example a mod with flags in Spider-Man or some functions when creating a character in Starfield. Or a mod that changes the structure of some characters in BG 3, it was also uploaded later to a separate site with comments.

I only know that they will make a program for creating mods, but I don’t know the details. Tell me what will happen?

It's a question of how receptive Larian is to the players, because they talk about it all the time.
------------------------------
As I understand it, some people view Mods as a struggle with other people, and not as a help in any decisions. This upsets me and I don't want to discuss anything further.

Yes, they will very likely remove cringe mods that commit erasure and hate.

Does it also mean they will remove the block button I just pressed? Since it totally erases you from existance for me.

777 - no worries, wokies won't be able to censor anything.

I'll be surprised if they ever do anything more than what the game supports now

Likely, yes. But it's their tools and their playground.

Also, they will exercise editorial control of anything they curate for distribution to console players.

And what kind of mods are these? Are you against the modding community?

I'm not against the modding community. I'm against bigots who create mods designed to silence alternative viewpoints and lifestyles while trying to hide behind concepts they don't believe in like "freedom of speech", et cetera.

They stated there will be a limited selection of mods that they either create or incorporate, so no bouncies or anything as edgy as several of the mods even on nexus. Definitely not anything that nexus banned either.

"Will Larian moderate my ability to practice hate and intolerance using their game as a platform and their (purely theoretical) mod launcher as a vector?"

Well yes, probably

Other developers have had problematic mods for their games removed from the Workshop, so I am sure Larian will be able to as well.

The mod community is free; anyone who wants to install a mod, installs it. What kind of bans are the fanatics talking about? Here some wrote that they cannot play BG 3 because of their culture, because the game is filled with some strange elements in the plot, but these messages were deleted here and no one knows about it.

I'm not sure why you need mods in a game in which your party can already run completely naked??

The only people who have trouble playing this game because of it's content are people who don't want to see certain demographics treated with respect.

I don't care for them and neither does Larian. Go play a different game if people being accepted for who they are upsets you so much.

Playing BG3 is not some kind of universal human right though.

Like any tool set will likely be a EULA so until that comes out anyone's guess

But if there is a workshop on steam after said tool set will also have based steam mod rules also
