Not to my knowledge. i think we're locked in until we complete it.
Full spoilers, act 3:
I'm in the House of Hope, and i just killed the succubus in Raphiel's bedroom. one of his imps knocked Wyll off with an eldritch blast.
As far as i'm aware, we can't leave until we get the Orphic hammer. or at least if we try too, Hope or something else will stop us or try to progress the story. I didn't fully explore this place last time i played, so i'm not sure what'll happen.
i would suggest sending at least one character back to see if they can return; if not you'll just have to continue and Wyll is probably lost for good
probably a good idea then yea. just hope i don't get ambushed or something on the way out because "i'm not continuing with the story" or whatnot.
like i'm pretty sure you can't have one character in Baldurs Gate and one character in Rivington. it's all or nothing.
unless this area counts like a basement or something i guess? i'm not sure.
