Can I skip the Githyanki creche quest?
So I finished Act 1 and I'm now on to Act 2, already reached Last Light Inn. I play this run RP-heavy so storywise it wouldn't make sense to go back to the Wilds, then through the mountain pass, I guess. I've done the creche quest on a previous run. What happens if I skip it? Is Lae'zel locked into being a Vlaakith loyalist now? Or can I still help her side with Oprheus? (I'm aware I will lose out on xp and the shiny mace thing.)

EDIT. Typo, I'm now on Act 2. :D

If I don't do the gith stuff with her she normally leaves or hwve to kill her at some point, she doesn't ever seem to realize her queen is full of bs and seems to stay loyal

You don't have to do it, but Lae'zel will be a tad annoyed with you :)

If you've reached the Last Light Inn, you're in Act 2. Act 2 starts the moment you enter the shadow cursed lands. You CAN go back and do the Creche, though. However, Lae'zal will almost certainly leave or even straight up turn on you forcing you to kill her depending on dialog options. There MAY be a way to convince her to stay without doing the creche, but I don't know for sure and it doesn't seem likely given her....zealotous ways.

I doubt it, really. Again, I'm not even sure there's any way she won't abandon or attack you for refusing to do something that is a sacred duty to her ( Going to be purified at the creche ).

Then I guess since my Tav is a goody-two-shoes who helps anyone and everyone, I'm going to have to do the creche. Thanks for your input! :)

The first time I played the game, I didn't go to the creche. I reached a point in Act 2 where Lae'Zel explicitly announced that if we did not go to the creche, she would leave the party. I went to the creche.

From what I understand, if you pass that "point of no return" in Act 2 without going to the creche, Lae'Zel leaves the party and dies alone in the wilderness. Even if Lae'Zel isn't in your active party, you'll know when you reach that point, because the game gives you a pop-up saying that all uncompleted quests will fail if you progress any further.

I kept her by succeeding at an intimidation role. She thought being bullied by Tav was hott (and no, my Tav was not romancing her on that playthrough).

There is so much good stuff in the creche, should always do it imo.

Its way too late at this point, but I definitely recommend you do it in a future playthrough.
There's some really nice stuff in there like a really strong legendary mace, some tadpoles + a possible insane buff for illithid users if you roll well.

Late to the party I know, but if you are romancing Lae'zel you can also just tell her that Moonrise Towers is where the answers are and she admits you're right, although on that run through I *had* visited the creche but only to break the machine and get the psionic buff and then sneak past the Inquisitor and get the Blood of Lathander, so Laezel was complaining about us leaving it for some time until we reached Moonrise and she straight up threatened to leave.
