Jaheira combat bug
I'm having an issue with Jaheira in combat. When combat initiates, she doesn't join. To get her to enter it, I have to manually take control of her and attack someone. In truth, if I notice fast enough, it's slight benefit, as it's a free attack. Still annoying. It's the first bug I've encountered playing the game.
Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

Is she invisible?

Negative; she simply doesn't enter combat along with the rest of the party. If I select her, she can freely move around outside of turn-based until she launches a successful attack, at which point she (and any summoned creatures) enter combat along with everyone else (provided I remember about the bug and notice she's missing from the turn order)

Uninstall any mods you have.
Try it again
Does it still happen?

Otherwise, this sounds like she is successfully stealthed (invisible or not).

It's noteworthy that I don't use mods and this behavior happens with my summoned bird VERY often.

I was sorting some inventory. Jaheira is bugged. She does not follow the group. The only way aaround is if she leads. First Minthara's dialogue (which is for me the bigger issue) and now Jaheira's pathfinding.

One would think after 6 patches, the game would be more polished. Ch'k.

P.S. I use no mods

I got this bug right after I entered act 3 with Jaheira in my party. I came to this thread and tried the method called out in https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/s/Vl0hnea4no and it didn't work.

Then I stumbled on a fix partly by accident. The mod mentioned in the other thread is supposed to allow you add any NPC as a companion and also allow you to clone or remove any party member. But what it also does as a bonus is it removes the party level limit which seems to be the key to fixing the Jaheira entering combat bug.

I was in camp and was doing my usual camp buffing after a long rest and I added a party member without dismissing someone from my already full party. I was expecting to get the dialog about Party already full and instead I got the "Let's go" or whatever response. and I noticed that I now had 5 characters in the party area

The 5th was Gale who I hadn't been using out of camp. After playing around with dismissing and adding characters back I went out of camp and before long I entered combat and Jaheira was fixed. She participated in Battle like normal.

I've kept the 5th member in my party since it actually is quite useful in Act 3 when you have so many companions specific quests, it saves time vs swapping back to camp. I haven't swapped out Jaheira yet or gone back to 4 character party. It maybe that that would make the bug appear again.

Having 5 main characters doesnt seem to break the game, so I'll probably just finish the game this way.

I have the same (or similar) bug with Jaheira. She does not join the battles, as described. But she also doesn't count as an ally at all. Which means, among others, that she cannot cast ally-specific spells (healing, buffing, etc.) on other party members and cannot receive such spells as well. And when she casts something that is supposed to only affect enemies (e.g. Spreading Spores), it actually affects the party members as well.

Seems to me like this is a new bug, as this is my third playthrough and I've never encountered it before. Doesn't bug ;) me much, I finished Jaheira's quest and simply won't be putting her in my party anymore. But it's something that the devs should know.

I'm not using any mods, playing in Honor Mode on Steam Deck.

PC fix! (sorry console players)

This is kind of late but I got it to work for me. I'm posting this literally right after fixing it so I'm not sure yet if I've bugged anything out or messed up future events, but Jaheira is officially part of my party (can cast spells on allies and enters combat properly).

I downloaded/installed this mod:
https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1646

I then sent her back to camp. Found her in camp and cast the "Add Or Remove" spell from the mod. Seems to be working properly now.

I have the same bug. I still didn't understand how to fix it without installing mods. This is my first complete walkthrough of the game, so I don't want to install mods. I hope the developers will fix this problem, it's strange that it hasn't been fixed in so many months. Maybe this is due to the fact that I recruited Mintara in Act 2, in act 1 I (left her unconscious), was on the side of the druids and Tieflings, in Act 2 I completed Halsin's quest, recruited him, and at the end of Act 2 I recruited Jaheira. Maybe the game thinks that I have too many allies/companions... (Sorry for the mistakes, I'm writing through a translator)

Welp, just had this bug happen to me as well. Though i do have a few mods, mostly cosmetic stuff, but still. Slightly annoying.

Yeah, I have this as well. Some enemies even gave her warnings when damaged before turning hostile for good.

I started playing this game pretty late, but I've been facing A LOT of bugs nearing the end of act 2 and start of act 3. Interactibles disappearing, doors that don't open when I interact with them, audio desyncs in interactions, pathing issues, etc. Feels like the game is falling apart each step I take, and it's pretty frustrating because it's otherwise so much fun.

Jaheira still seems to have an issue where she is not friendly to the party (in combat) and is treated as neutral.

This causes a weird interaction with some of the spells and combat effects.
This bug started happening to me in my current run. I've played nearly a dozen campaigns and this is the first time jaheira hasn't automatically joined combat. I'm playing on tactician with no mods.
When that happens, I have to be careful with her and the spells I cast as a result.

I do not play with her a lot, but use her when doing her quest-line.
