Owlbear fight Not Ending, Cannot Spare Cub

As the title says, I'm making this due to what I can only assume to be a bug. After convincing the two absolute cultists to come and help we go down and everything proceeds normally. Until the owlbear mother and her mate die, at which point the combat continues regardless.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I have not, but also have not played on Honour mode. Try knocking the cub out with a non-lethal attack.

Figure out what was happening, the trigger for combat to end is killing the mother, but if her mate is still alive then combat is forced to continue.
