If the issue persists, send in your issue with your savegame and screenshots here
via email support@larian.com
or
via online form https://larian.com/support/baldur-s-gate-3#modal
only then it gets tracked and investigated by Larian Studios properly
Such issues happens frequently for players who do not do the game update routine.
But it worked, thanks.
You are welcome.
It might look like a lot at first glance, but once you get used to it, it is just a matter of a few clicks within seconds. I am doing the routine myself every time with every patch and never encountered any issues caused by updating the game that way. Even while using mods.
I have explained it in more detail, for Windows, here

It is definitely worth it, because it helps ditching any update related worries, especially when playing while using mods.
Try browsing to the '~/Documents/Larian Studios/Baldur's Gate 3' folder and delete or rename the graphicSettings.lsx file, to get the game to recreate it the next time it is started.
But this did.
Uninstalling never works, unless one deals with defective hardware. And that is quite a lot one has to consider when uninstalling a game properly. I doubt people do more than just trying to uninstall it via Steam, despite more steps would be necessary. This is what it looks like on Windows:

I use a controller to play the game, so I basically used it to find my way into the settings menu.
You could just use the Larian Launcher ...

there is also an option for graphics settings but people should instead clear their cache.
