Build help-Pole arm master
I'm looking at trying to start a new game and wanted to do a build I havent tried before and use some weapons I havent really gotten around to using yet. Does anyone have a good pole arm master build utilizing halberds/glaives/spears?

What exactly do you mean by build? For Itemization I would probably go for anything that ads additional damage dice like helldusk gloves and the like.

Maybe a half orc crit fisher with the risky ring and crit stacking equipment as a level 12 paladin or level 4 Paladin, level 8 Sword Bard/Sorceror. Something like that while using sentinel and Polearm master as your feats.

All in on str as your stat, try:
Fighter 1, to get a fighting style, as one thought. This may not be necessary, but its nice, at the cost of delaying your 2nd mainhand attack 1 level.
After that, take barbarian to level 5, frenzy. This gets you 3 attacks with the 2h weapon when raged, main twice and frenzy offhand once.
Then you can wrap up with rogue/thief, to get a second bonus action, to use your PAM attack alongside the frenzy or if out of rage tokens or easy fight, just use PAM hit.
finish up with fighter 2 for action surge, theif 4 for a feat, level 11 looking like 2/5/4 .. 12 fighter 3 for a subclass or barb 6 ?

you can also do fighter all the way, 3 mainhands and a offhand at 12.
past the raw hit them with the polearm builds, it would work great on paladin, warlock, cleric, and possibly some oddball human or half elf builds using race to get the weapons, and you may also try throwing spears with the barb ideas...

honestly PAM feels like a trap. There are too many ways to get a better offhand attack than a d4 that does not seem to take into account weapon buffs like d4 fire weapon.

Tiger barb, wolverine aspect, moonlight glaive, reverb gear.

Halberd of vigilance on a tempest domain cleric with the sentinel feature goes crazy. Throw in the Luminous armor + luminous gloves and really give em hell.

Throw up spirit guardians and anyone who gets close gets shredded by them, smacked with the Halberd, blown away by a tempest smite, and snared by sentinel.

if you want to go full polearm combo build, i recommend go Fighter at least until level 8 (too bad this game don't have variant human or custom lineage)

your main 3 feats are Polearm Master, Sentinel, Great Weapon Master. whenever enemy try to get close to you, you got a chance to shut down their movement with reach weapon with Opportunity attack. then they won't be able to do any melee unless they have at least 10ft reach. the reason to use fighter is because you also gain feat at lvl6 so it can come online as soon as level 8 instead of level 12
