Act 3 showers you in powerful equipment at any and every given opportunity if you look for it.
By Magician do you mean Lorroakan? He is a pretty straightforward fight as long as you play to the mechanics. Those being that he has a really powerfull counterattack as a reaction when he takes damage. That attack gets stronger with every alive Myrmidon nearby. So it's a straight forward "take care of ads then kill the boss" kind of fight.
By new king you mean Gortash? That fight can get substantially easier if you do a sidequest before hand. That sidequest does include another Bossfight and a whole time sensitive mini dungeon though. And last, you can make the fight much easier by luring him outside his office.
The Dark Brotherhood... you mean the Bhaal Cult? Again, good strategy can get you through it. The first ambush is harder than the actual bossfight. A strong pair of gloves can be obtained on the roof of a building in that Ambush, while another character takes care of the Caster.
The bossfight in the Bhaal Temple has a gimmick as well that can be countered by magic missile or AoE spells.
Most of the bossfights in this game have a gimmick that you can play around, if you take your time with your turns. It's a turn based game, you have all the time in the world to think everything through.
The game is very easy you just have to pick up the proper gear and class builds.

Keep your party in the globe, or at least make sure you end your turns in it. If the enemy walks into the globe with you, use shove to push them out and then use ranged attacks.
You don't even have to do that, you just have to read tooltips and see what interacts with other things. You can make some pretty basic builds that still hit hard and will clear content without having to min-max or go elbow deep into theory/build crafting.
But the first playthrough was on balanced, so it worked itself out.
Would be nice if people who say the game is hard would share screenshots of their classes and gear.
Hmm... Have you tried respec or maybe trying a new class?
Something I can recommend to you is being a druid and maybe respec other party members as druid and make your little army. :)
I found Druid to be the best class as I make little armies to beat enemies.
I hope this helps and I wish you luck. Just like others recommended as well maybe look into mods. There is like a cheat mod or something that can help you finish the game and see the ending.
Sharran temple fight was hard, yes, but not impossible. Master magician is a joke, just have to have Counterspell.
So, from my side it was also a slaughter, but it was me who was doing the slaughtering.
