Lolth Sworn or Seldarine Drow?
I am new at the game. This topic has been on my mind a lot.

I will play as a male Warlock-Paladin drow, but I am very undecided whether to play Lolth or Seldarine. As far as I've done a little research, they don't give any importance to men in Drow culture. A male drow can't even look at a female drow's face(lore)! As a man, this made me extremely uncomfortable.

Which one should I choose as a male drow on my first playthrough?
Lolth drows' self-confidence and unique speeches seem like fun, but the feminist and matriarchal thing and the fact that I will be playing a male drow made me think that it would be bad if I chose Lolth?

Lolth is spider-queen.

The only purpose for males in arachnids is to get laid and gtfo before becoming a snack.

Same applies to drow.

Basically Lloth is evil and Seldarine is good.... following one or the other offers a few unique dialogue choices of that type.

As far as I can tell, the only real 'speakable' Lolth-sworn drow in the game are trader in the act II, one of the possible companions and a cleric in act III. The encounter with the former one is rather brief experience, while picking the second one will be yours decision only. Won't tell anything on the third one due to too much spoilers. Otherwise than that, you shall meet two other Lolth-sworn males in the end of act I. I'm not counting several corpses able to speak through spell.
Consequently, not much unique dialogues concerning the theme, there.
So don't expect to be offended while playing as Lolth-sworn male drow, you won't get much humiliation from this. Enjoy the game

Playing as Dark Urge Lolth-sworn Drow Barbarian adds quite some edge to dialogs :D. More reasons to turn a friendly chat into a massacre.

Nonsense. Males are the best Wizards and Fighters in the drow society. The Archmage of Menzoberranzan is a male (and doesn't really bow down to any female except Lolth herself). What is important is that Lolth-worshipping drow have a Theocracy, and the Clerics are mostly females. Second, the Heads of Houses are also females (Matron Mothers). So the main overt political power is with females (i.e. matriarchy). That does not mean males only "get laid and gtfo before becoming a snack". They can still achieve great power and high position, including power over females.
