Mod for more traditionally beautiful female main characters
Hi,

I read a few weeks ago about a new mod that made some of the main female characters in the game more beautiful in a traditional sense. I've tried to google this mod, but can't find it - don't know the name of the mod.

The changes are fairly small, so they keep the original faces more or less intact. For instance Laezel had a more proportionate face with the nose and upper lip.

Could anyone point me in the direction of this mod?

Thanks! :)

Shouldn't a githyanki woman look like a githyanki?

No, clearly Larian has an agenda to make the Githyanki women look more ugly than they do in real life. This is also part of their feminist agenda to make Drow, Tieflings, and Half-Elves look more ugly than they do in real life.

.... all sarcasms intended.

... there may or may not be "science" behind the proportions humans find for the ideally beautiful face for other humans ... to whatever extent it's valid, I'm not sure if it extends to the kinds of nonhuman faces they find desirable. :steamhappy: (Though the face of the half-elf may be closest to "human" which may be why she is the most romanced out of all of them.)

... also, bear in mind, that when you are going to mo-cap-animate faces, that sets further constraints on face geometry that may have nothing to do with efforts to "uglify".

No, wangs are like an immersion divining rod, no twitch, then not canon.

Weird formulation, but fairly sure alternate faces for characters are on Nexus, so that's your bet.

I like a good virus and data scraping, this is basic biology.

Ok, before this devolves into something stupid again. The op isn't being rude, facial changes have been a staple in mods since gamers discovered they can change the pixels on a sprite.

Sure saying "traditionnally beautiful" feels very much like a dog wistle, but can we at least take the mature route of directing someone who's been polite so far to the appropriate ressources.

Have some shame ffs.

I did. I always give the benefit of the doubt.

Personally, they can get those resources without having to go to certain HQ's (and I'm not sure those were the kind of mods they were looking for) that you might want to make sure your virus checker is working for before you get stuff there ... but anyhoo, what they want (I assume) is at Nexus, and I pointed where it could be found.

Why do you care?

Because the topic was raised on a public discussion forum and I'm free to question it?
Examples of features or characteristics that are often associated with being classically beautiful include:

Symmetrical facial features: Symmetry is often considered attractive, as it is associated with genetic health and stability. Examples include evenly spaced eyes, a straight nose, and well-proportioned lips.

Clear and smooth skin: A complexion that is free from blemishes, wrinkles, or other imperfections is often seen as desirable.

Well-defined bone structure: High cheekbones, a defined jawline, and a balanced facial structure are often considered attractive traits.

Balanced body proportions: A body shape that is neither too slim nor too heavy, with well-proportioned curves or muscle tone, is often associated with classic beauty.

Graceful posture and movement: Poise, elegance, and graceful movement can enhance a person's overall attractiveness and contribute to the perception of classic beauty.

Examples of individuals who are often described as having classically beautiful features include Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Cary Grant, and other iconic figures from classical Hollywood cinema. However, it's important to remember that beauty is subjective, and what one person finds classically beautiful may differ from another's perception.

So OP is upset that they don't have a party full of supermodels. Cool. 😬

And female dragonborn should look like the weird platypus they are. that means having boobs and producing milk while having the capabilities to lay eggs AND giving birth at the same time.

back on the thread, i recommend Vemperen's other heads + wrinkle map smooth + tav's hairpack + tav's hairpack icon patch (silver's hair pack is also great)

thats for the face, get some horn mods for your tieflings and the faces are good to go.

for body mods there are only 2 i can think about, the enhanced nude body + the outfits for it. Or Beautiful Curvy Body and Sexy Outfits (Over 500 Outfits).

and take a look for custom companions mods, the one with laezel with a nice face is good. everything on nexus btw.

You made me think of this music video by Madonna because she deliberately did it in the B & W style of early Hollywood cinema. And she does mention Grace Kelly, if not Audrey Hepburn or Cary Grant. But a bunch of other Hollywood actors from the 'classic' Hollywood era.

Well at least you got the definition you asked for. And OP got your opinion, which he or she definitely didn't ask for.

Again, I don't know anything that changes all of the companions at once. I also don't know what "more traditional" means. But.

Let me give you an example. Here's a face mod for Lae'zel. Giving you several other face choices for her.

Lae'Zel Alternate Faces
https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2208

My point being, if you want to change the face/appearance of a specific female companion, search at Nexus by their name. (I agree browsing through it by section can take a long time.)

Now, if you want more choices in the character creator for Tav herself, well, those would be things like:
Faces of Faerun
https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/429
or the other one I mentioned above ... Character Creation Presets WIP (seems to be more popular/downloaded/endorsed)

The third type of mod will change appearance for all models of a certain kind. Shocker, some like bigger boobs, etc. Here's a mod of that type.

SBBF Stylized Beautiful Body for Female
https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/4864

That changes the appearance (more body than face) of female elves, half-elves, drow, etc. lots of races, including NPCs.

Thanks for the links! I was thinking mostly of the faces, but these seems relevant.
