Meanwhile I am in the camp that is much too tired to give a sh*t.
I already own the game, it's good, simple as, end of.
Whether SBI was involved or not doesn't matter because of ^see above^.
The actions of some members involved with SBI were sh*tty (the person who sh*t on Toriyama hours after his passing despite having all the opportunity in the world to make such claims while he was alive is pure cowardice and a definite Dog-&-Pony Show, to state an example), and the statements made about terrifying companies who do not acquiesce to negotiations came off as EXTREMELY manipulative and psychotic, but other than that I have zero opinion on the company or its values.
Sadly to no offence but you dont realize the control propaganda that is being pushed on us.
"We've found a scapegoat! Its not that societal trends are leaving our antiquated attitudes behind, it was just a giant conspiracy by a single consulting company with a silly name! Hurrah!"
Well, you were already informed that SBI did not, in fact, work on this game.
So, it IS the developer's vision.
What you are angry about is that their vision doesn't align with yours.
The tl;dr of this is, its a nothingburger, its standard practice to tell companies what they risk by not having their games reviewed for sensitivity.

When looking at these quotemines from SBI opponents, be careful to remember that they use a lot of strawmen and love misrepresenting things people say by not including the context without any spin from a youtube pundit.
Or even simpler than that. It's basically a sponsored "Second Set of Eyes".
It's like if you took the Discord of Many Things - a premiere community for D&D related homebrew - and hired them to comb over and review a 3rd-party product you wrote up for a TTRPG.
I've got my eyes set on a new WLK build: Banshee Bow, Hunter's Circlet, Stormy Clamor Boots, Ring of Mental Inhibition + Coruscation Ring, equipping BoL for a permanent light source. Idea is to spam Fear, Mental Fatigue, and Radiant Orb effects to keep proccing Reverb and provide a massive damage amp for a ranged attacker.
Anyone denying any SBI involvement in BG3 have no proof of that at all, they just don't like hearing it and you can see the knee jerk negative reactions.
SBI lists WOTC on their website as one of their major customers. ...guess what? WOTC is on the loading screen as well and holds the D&D license.
So, for the bots and deniers, do you have any proof WOTC had ZERO input on the game?
Well, since I can't see into your head to see your hallucinations, I don't "realize" the control propaganda you're seeing.
That's not how this works. It's on the people claiming they WERE involved to prove it. And, news flash: Larian isn't WotC.
