There's a big difference between a story writing consultant going "Hey there's some plot holes here and here, we should change that" and a company like SBI using "fear tactics" (direct quote from the SBI CEO) on executives to force entire new narratives to be made regardless of whether they fit the plot or tone.

They're not changing anything.
They're not dictating anything. They're being asked for their opinions and the company consulting them is free to choose whether to take their advice or not. They're not holding guns to the devs' heads and forcing them to change anything.
