Also since when was Minthara a Bhaalist? I thought she wanted to leave the absolute? Since when did she want to join the absolute again?
Then they should add a camp scene where she breaks up with the player. Although it could be a low approval trigger. Or give the opportunity to the player to talk her out of it.
Her pushing the player to Bhaal is obviously where her rationality fails, so it could be just a tantrum at that moment. They definitely need to release more content as right now, this reaction leads to no where.
Bad things happen. Very bad.
She wants power. Commanding the brain is a bit different than serving it
I have watched a video on it because I don't see I'd play a character who willingly serves Bhaal. So I might be missing a thing or two. But here is the gist of it:
You go completely insane in a cycle of self harm and murder. All rationality gone. No better than an animal. And it is hinted you try to kill your companions, starting from your former romance interest. Whether you succeed is open to interpretation
Not really. It makes for a good story either way.
The journey is more important than the destination. Personally, I am romancing Minthara as a Dark Urge who rejected his heritage. I did that before the last patch and the only reason I have not completed the game is because I hope the coming 1-2 months will introduce more development around Minthara. Right now it is not certain if she breaks with you for good. My character is certainly still in romance wth her. No camp scene where she breaks up with him or anything.
But if Minthara does break with him... it gives an interesting epilogue (not like cutscenes or in game dialogue but as a story). Bittersweet. If the price for his own freedom and Minthara's life is ending their relationship, so be it. They did have their fun together and she is still a very useful companion to have against the final boss. She deals a lot of damage. And hells, the Sharess Caress is always open.
Power is intoxicating to her, though. And the scion of a demi-god is a promise for power. It is not how it works on practice but it is enticing.
That being said, I definitely think the player should get a chance to talk her out of it and/or make that dialogue approval related.
