Please undo the Minthara change in hot fix 21
There’s a terrible bug in it in where if you reject Bhsal’s gift, she gets pissed off. This wasn’t in the previous patches, so I’m wondering if Larian can undo this? I love Minthara but I don’t want to accept Bhaal’s gift because if I destroy the brain after accepting his gift, I don’t get the good ending I want. So either get rid of the bad ending when you accept Bhaal’s gift or get rid of mintharas new dialogue because it wasn’t in the game before.

I'm pretty sure her not reacting to you rejecting Bhaal was the bug and now she's behaving like she was intended to.

What happens if you accept Bhaal’s gift, but allow Orpheus to destroy the brain?m
Also since when was Minthara a Bhaalist? I thought she wanted to leave the absolute? Since when did she want to join the absolute again?

Then they should add a camp scene where she breaks up with the player. Although it could be a low approval trigger. Or give the opportunity to the player to talk her out of it.

Her pushing the player to Bhaal is obviously where her rationality fails, so it could be just a tantrum at that moment. They definitely need to release more content as right now, this reaction leads to no where.

Bad things happen. Very bad.

She wants power. Commanding the brain is a bit different than serving it

So what happens if you accept Bhaal’s gift? How does the game end? Do you get romance options with her or a seeet cutscene where you make love with her or what?

I have watched a video on it because I don't see I'd play a character who willingly serves Bhaal. So I might be missing a thing or two. But here is the gist of it:

You go completely insane in a cycle of self harm and murder. All rationality gone. No better than an animal. And it is hinted you try to kill your companions, starting from your former romance interest. Whether you succeed is open to interpretation

So you should basicslly avoid going dark urge if you want to romance Minthara is what you’re saying?

Not really. It makes for a good story either way.

The journey is more important than the destination. Personally, I am romancing Minthara as a Dark Urge who rejected his heritage. I did that before the last patch and the only reason I have not completed the game is because I hope the coming 1-2 months will introduce more development around Minthara. Right now it is not certain if she breaks with you for good. My character is certainly still in romance wth her. No camp scene where she breaks up with him or anything.

But if Minthara does break with him... it gives an interesting epilogue (not like cutscenes or in game dialogue but as a story). Bittersweet. If the price for his own freedom and Minthara's life is ending their relationship, so be it. They did have their fun together and she is still a very useful companion to have against the final boss. She deals a lot of damage. And hells, the Sharess Caress is always open.

If this is not a bug, then the Larians really just killed her as a character... She herself says throughout the entire 3rd act that it’s better for us all to get rid of the gods, and then this phrase appears.. It’s just a cringe... I’m not even saying about her other bugs (mostly these are her phrases that she says constantly). Minthara has literally become unplayable since the release of patch 6...

Exactly. I thought Bhaal was the absolute. Since he did reveal that he controlled the netherbrain. So why does she say she wants to go to war against the absolute but wants me to join the absolute? I’m soo confused and I feel this is a bug and not intentional.

Power is intoxicating to her, though. And the scion of a demi-god is a promise for power. It is not how it works on practice but it is enticing.

That being said, I definitely think the player should get a chance to talk her out of it and/or make that dialogue approval related.

Since the release of this dialogue on Reddit and in discussions, there has been a lot of hate towards the Larians.. It seems to me that after this they should finally deal with Minthara normally, because she is still the most deprived companion in the game..

This is actually debatable, since Minthara throughout the game talks about how she doesn’t like the gods.. Her motivation has always been to become their equal, and not a puppet (this is very well shown in the epilogue), and this scene is just what something strange and broken...

Larian deserves all the hate they get for what they did to Minthara. Between this and all the bugs in patch 6, they are basically making it harder for me to be with her. Shadowheart is a close second for me, but now I’m thinking about going with her because she is not as bugged and she doesn’t leave you like Minthara now does.

I couldn't agree more, really. Minthara is the companion who, from the very beginning, should have offered an alternative to the content that we lose by recruiting her (It is by cutting out the grove, losing Karlach, Will, and not the path through her knockout, this is generally cringe). She literally doesn’t have half the dialogues that other companions have (We’re talking about some quest events), her dialogues are about the same as Will, if not less... Hell, she doesn’t even have her own quest, but she has a huge number of bugs...
