Chances are during the summer sale there'll be a similar discount but nothing more than that. If we're comparing it to D:OS2, which started getting bigger discount years after it has been released, it may take up to two years.
E: I'd suggest the GOG version, which comes with a 30-day no questions asked refund policy.
That being said, it was only $6 off. You're going to be waiting a long time before a meaningful sale happens.
The game is still selling like hotcakes at full price. Discounts are normally only given to make something sell faster when it's not really in the picture anymore.
