New minthara lines?
It seems like they have secretly added new lines to minthara that completely destroy her character. If you resist the power given by bhaal she now breaks up with you no matter what, but previously a large part of her characterisation was about how she hates being the servant or slave to the gods.

So now they seem to have added this conversation that makes it clear that she wants to be the slave to the gods as long as she gets power, despite previously saying the opposite about being the absolute's thrall.

Clearly this is very out of character from what has been previously established, and I can't see any legitimate reason why any of the writers would add such contradictory characterisation unless they just never read her previous lines.

Yeah this has to be some sort of low-approval bug. She spent all that time and effort convincing me that she would have no gods, no masters. Rejecting - LOLTH - of all goddesses.

But Bhaal? Love that dude, throw on them shackles, I love being enthralled to the God of Murder! You gotta be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me

I'm not convinced it's entirely hypocritical of Minthara. The Dark Urge is more than a Thrall, they're a Bhaalspawn; to deny Bhaal is to deny yourself. That is also Minthara's primo allegiance- oneself. She similarly approves of Shadowheart becoming a "proud" and "strong leader" for Shar (idk her Seluné dialogue). She happily calls for Astarion to "take the power you are owed". The only reason the Bhaalspawn survives against Papa Bhaal is thanks to Withers, which nobody could've known possible. Being ready to die for your newfound morality, by denying the urges, is implication that you're prepared to doom the chances your party saves (or conquers) Faerûn. Sure, hindsight... You live and Minthy forgives? From what I've read the romance doesn't actually end despite her harsh words? After all, you remain a powerful, sexy beast.

Sounds like a lose/lose because I just played durge in the trial this afternoon with Minthara there and she was given oathbreaker for just witnessing me going through with passing the Bhaal test.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I hope so. It's really strange that Mintara literally constantly says that they don't need any gods because we can become their equals. I had the best relationship with her (maximum level of approval) and yesterday I received this dialogue, I hope that this will be fixed somehow, otherwise it’s very strange... But the way Emma Gregory played it was just great, she conveyed the emotions of the character very well.. Speaking of bugs, Minthara now talks about Gale and Elminster instead of the phrase about the Emperor and Orpheus)

My game is 90% complete but I am shelving the run, at least until the next big patch. I really need to know where this romance is going with the redeemed Dark Urge.

Playing a game with bugs is one thing. Playing a game where bugs interfere with character development is a whole different beast.

My personal impression is that she throws a tantrum but that might not be a definite breakup. Future patches will show what direction the character will take.
