Where to go for build guides?

Not sure where to look that goes level-by-level, and the most-recent places I looked, looked as if they were written by machines instead of humans. The latter of course, being what I'm looking for.

Basically, I need advice for how to optimize my companions and my player character.

This person does a lot of D&D 5e build guides, but also does BG3 builds. In addition to level by level, he also explains the why and how. He has a BG3 Playlist so you can see the whole series so far. I would recommend starting at the first one and proceeding through the series in order to get a good feel for what his methodology is. :)

For the most part, DnD builds will work in BG3. Some might need some minor tuning.
With that being said, I also enjoy the D4 channel

If you know how to use it, it is still good. Plus the subscription version in indeed better, but that is a different story.

It's still somewhat usable, but to make it work you need to know how to boolean search - which, some people don't know how to do.
