Just kill the Captain in the Creche. Multiple ways of doing it, theft is by far the worse method of starting the fight. Also, if stealing is your goal ... do not remain near the target until they script back to their default position. You will be dragged out of conversations if an NPC starts it for any reason.
The game is very buggy. If you insist on playing the mode 'honorably' I'd recommend waiting for the definitive edition.
However, you could also manually back up your save files and then restore the most recent backup in the case of losing a save file due to a glitch. You would potentially have to replay hours of content, but not the entire game.
Likewise, you can have Windows kill the game process instead of closing the game properly, which should prevent the game from overwriting your last save file. I wouldn't rely on this method entirely and would still do manual save backups once per play session.
There's no way I'd ever play a game as buggy and RNG dependent as this without cheesing the ironman aspect.
The game is not that buggy. Most of the bug are small things. Problem that is the game give to much freedom to the players so people doing lot of quest in weird way and the game sometime can't handle with it.
Also lot of people playwith lot of mode that ♥♥♥♥ up the game. Then they blame the game for it.
Played through the game twice, completing act 1 several times. All without mods or doing anything exceptionally weird. It's definitely up there with Cyberpunk, Total War: Warhammer 3, and Bethesda titles for jank, contrary to the narrative at game launch.
The dumb qtr master will buy all the gear from the gith you just killed in the next room.
No Game breaking bug in the game.
That's said, what happened to the guy isn't a bug, he ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around, stole ♥♥♥♥ and found out, he didn't have the combat skills to pull it off.
i don't know man.
Weirdest bug so far are meet is like:
- No Music sound effect for my Bard performance
- Astaraion lost his voice (He is my bard so the music bug is happend because that)
- Wyll disappeard from my camp right after hi joined. Only left his tent on my camp. He some time still approved things i did.
- Some side quest is stucked because i can't speak with a NPC or the NPC didin't give me the quest. (You may can call this Game breaking but for me it's just lost content... i still able to continue those runs.)
Before Patch 5:
- There was a building in the Lower city where Shadowheart fell through the floor. First stuck inside the stairs then fell through the stairs to the dead.
I reached the 3rd act of the game and when moving to the lower city, my main character disappeared. All quests related to the character also disappeared. There is no backup save, and I lost 120 hours of play because of honor mode.
My character just stopped existing, man!
Im glad I didnt do honor runs and probably will never ever try to do them, the game doesnt seem to be ready for them
Did you use any weird mode?
Everything broke down because of a task with a strange bull. The support couldn't help, they said it was a bug and they would try to fix it as soon as possible.
