Honor mode failed / game glitch- I am a very sad panda
Honor mode is already extremely difficult (I have 600+ hrs in BG3 and have played tactical many times, and beaten the game). I'm just venting I suppose, because I know the game is still being worked on, but to get all the way to the Creche, having skipped no details or side quests, desperately scraping for even BASIC gear and pots (not even think a bout looking for special arrows or pots, the economy in Honor is srsly broken imo) only to be thwarted and taken out by a simple game mechanic not working properly has left me feeling just so down trodden. I've attempted Honor 4 times now, this one being the furthest I have gotten. I'm starting to think the only way to finish the game in Honor is to just skip everything and try to beeline it, which in itself sucks and leaves very little reason to do it, and ESP not a good reason if you want to be able to brag that you beat Honor; and honestly the gold die is just NOT worth it. This particular wipe was caused by a glitch when you have to get hold of the crystal to go through and see the githyanki inquisitor. I had successfully stolen it, inserted it, and the appropriate dialogue/scene was triggered. BUT THEN, the dialogue was INTERRUPTED/overwritten by the standard sOmEoNe sToLe something BS and completely canceled the former dialogue, and also made the crystal vanish and left the door permanently locked while the creche rained down with full force, leaving you no where to go. If the only way to beat Honor is to cheese the ♥♥♥♥ out of it and always leave a man behind effectively limiting you to a 3-man party (4 is already bare minimum), then maybe I should just give up on that dream. Someone make me feel better :(

Beaten the game on honour; abused the game on honour several times.

Just kill the Captain in the Creche. Multiple ways of doing it, theft is by far the worse method of starting the fight. Also, if stealing is your goal ... do not remain near the target until they script back to their default position. You will be dragged out of conversations if an NPC starts it for any reason.

If it can comfort you, I lost about 40 hours on one of my honor run because the game crashed while autosaving and corrupted my only save :(

The game is very buggy. If you insist on playing the mode 'honorably' I'd recommend waiting for the definitive edition.

However, you could also manually back up your save files and then restore the most recent backup in the case of losing a save file due to a glitch. You would potentially have to replay hours of content, but not the entire game.

Likewise, you can have Windows kill the game process instead of closing the game properly, which should prevent the game from overwriting your last save file. I wouldn't rely on this method entirely and would still do manual save backups once per play session.

There's no way I'd ever play a game as buggy and RNG dependent as this without cheesing the ironman aspect.

The game is not that buggy. Most of the bug are small things. Problem that is the game give to much freedom to the players so people doing lot of quest in weird way and the game sometime can't handle with it.

Also lot of people playwith lot of mode that ♥♥♥♥ up the game. Then they blame the game for it.

Played through the game twice, completing act 1 several times. All without mods or doing anything exceptionally weird. It's definitely up there with Cyberpunk, Total War: Warhammer 3, and Bethesda titles for jank, contrary to the narrative at game launch.

The Creche can be cleared room at at a time. I make sure to kill everyone before getting the Crystal. That way she has no one running in the door helping her.

The dumb qtr master will buy all the gear from the gith you just killed in the next room.

You're still lucky. I reached the 3rd act of the game and when moving to the lower city, my main character disappeared. All quests related to the character also disappeared. There is no backup save, and I lost 120 hours of play because of honor mode.

Oh no, believe me. There are many. I got myself randomly stuck in an instance when laezel tried to kill shadow, couldn't finish the long rest, permanently stuck since it was honor. Also there's the disc bug at the gauntlet of shar, your characters can randomly fall to the void, the floating disc is extremely buggy. If you're unlucky your four party members get insta killed, if you're "lucky", one or two just get stuck out of bounds after the fall. Pray they die so you can ask withers to revive them, if they pass the death saves, you can't get their bodies back, your run is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

That's said, what happened to the guy isn't a bug, he ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around, stole ♥♥♥♥ and found out, he didn't have the combat skills to pull it off.

i don't know man.
Weirdest bug so far are meet is like:
- No Music sound effect for my Bard performance
- Astaraion lost his voice (He is my bard so the music bug is happend because that)

- Wyll disappeard from my camp right after hi joined. Only left his tent on my camp. He some time still approved things i did.

- Some side quest is stucked because i can't speak with a NPC or the NPC didin't give me the quest. (You may can call this Game breaking but for me it's just lost content... i still able to continue those runs.)

Before Patch 5:
- There was a building in the Lower city where Shadowheart fell through the floor. First stuck inside the stairs then fell through the stairs to the dead.

I only have mods for the character editor.
Everything broke down because of a task with a strange bull. The support couldn't help, they said it was a bug and they would try to fix it as soon as possible.
