But... think of all the pot lids and incense and quills I'm missing out on!!!!!
I hate that that is a standard question instead of being standard information contributed by the requester for assistance.
I am using mods. Several of them. Digging worked last week. It doesn't this week.
I have at least one "small shovel" and one "shovel" in every party members' inventory.
You are not required to pay any attention to anything in the forums.
Why that should interfere with regular shovels I have no idea.
If you've got mods, then this is a mod issue until proven otherwise, sorry.
You gotta love Larian making the conscious choice to include shovels you can't dig with, huh? Not sure they're interfering with each other, just that I have all the shovels, and can't dig, all of a sudden.
Ropes, small hammers, tongs, etc also don't work.
I looked around the internet, and found one possible solution: can you have all your party drop all their shovels and then pick one up?
Yea, there's WAY, WAY, WAY too much set dressing in this game. Like, orders of magnitude more than is at all necessary.
A D&D campaign where rope is a useless set dressing. Freaking shameful. The first piece of standard dungeon crawling equipment every adventurer should have is rendered useless in this game. Oh, you can climb, just not on ropes.
I'll give that a whirl when I fire it up again.
