Pact of the Blade warlock can wield any weapon in game.
Therefore, my fae warlock, pact of blade, used greatswords, going from sussur gs to chaos gs in act III.
There is a pact bound two handed hammer which also deals Thunder damage. My favourite.
Also depends if your race gives unique weapon proficiencies. Pact of the Blade warlocks can wield any weapon, make it a pact weapon and use charisma instead of strength or dexterity.
Lots of warlocks become ultimate ranged blasters with eldritch blast easily being the best cantrip in the game, especially when you can add your charisma to damage and knock enemies off of ledges.
Or OP, you can specialize in crowd control and go to town with your zweihander after making them incapable of fighting back. Sky is the limit, and warlocks' builds are quite... accomodating.
Otherwise depends on your race and your intentions with your build.
When I had Wyll with the pact of the tome, I gave him halberds because he's mostly human and gets the proficiency.
My current durge I'm treating as a pure caster so I gave him a staff.
