She is probably the most pursued female option as the other three possibles are: not always acquired (Minthara), alien xenophobes (Lae'Zel), or devilish muscle babes (Karlach). She seems to be the most "feminine" and accessible option.
But yes, she has issues. They all do, but she does. Find out, it's part of the journey.
She and Wyll are natural enemies, given that Wyll's the emo kid of the group, and everyone knows goths and emos hate being mistaken for one another.
TL;DR: Shadowheart is way too performatively "I'm so dark; you wouldn't understand, conformist" for me.
Also, speculating on her virginity as adding value to her stock as a girlfriend is creepy as ♥♥♥♥.
Shadowheart is that classic example of a girl that turns full psychopath at some point.
But in general i think the character design in baldurs gate is absolutely terrible.
The characters are well written in such a way that their outlook and actions changes based on your input. She doesn't turn full psychopath for most people, just for those who push for that.
Well written surely is subjective.
It's like saying "Justin Bieber's lyrics are very well written" because after all, he is the most decorated musician of this age, as a sad matter of fact.
And so is Baldurs Gate 3.
I know, we all do.
