Ya Gale deff showers
im sure he does, honestly none of the characters show any real inclination that they wouldn't if given the chance, but astarion feels like he'd take the cake with a very specific beauty routine.
Why Laezel wouldn't shower ? Since she's a military type character, she's supposed to keep a good hygiene, smelling bad and being a risk of developing bacteria doesn't yield any advantages in combat situation.
I would say she won't use any perfume, while Astarion must smell like a flowerist's shop, because he doesn't care about others.
Yeah laz’zel said I stay sweaty and she likes my stanky ass
Now Wyll? Wyll absolutely does
Granted, the city has sewers, so don't stop to think too long on what you're slushing through down there.
Of course, even 2000 years ago, people would - sometimes - bathe. The Romans did. Either in tubs, or just in a nearby river.
I believe all keep decent hygiene (whether they use magic or water is up to speculation; the camp is almost often near water). Karlach is a bit in a sad situation as all of her starting equipment and clothes is soaked by the smell of the Hells (sulphur and smoke).
I even think that Withers has so decayed that there is not much unpleasant smell left. Probably the only smelly one is Connor Vinderblad. He can be summoned in camp but... there are mitigating circumstances with him so I can't blame him for bad hygiene.
Valid point. Faerun doesn't appear to have indoor plumbing, but it's fairly easy to cast magic that can douse you with a rainstorm. That's a shower, I guess.
You definitely can, in-game, use soap and water to remove all that blood that covers your face and body after combat.
With amphibian traits, that would be unusual.
