Help with softlock
My friend and I were doing a Dark Urge Honour Mode run. We died and continued in Custom Mode, but kept the Honour Mode settings regarding the single save file. Bad idea! The game decided to autosave when we were fighting the Spider Matriarch, when three of our party were dead and the fourth (my character) was entombed by its legendary action.

The legendary action stops you from taking any actions and it explodes after a couple of turns, meaning I'm 100% going to die and there's nothing I can do about it. And then since it autosaved right there, we're just stuck in that loop.

Does anyone know of any mods (ie invincibility, save file editors, etc.) that we can try to get out of this stupid situation? Would really like to not have to restart the whole campaign because the game randomly decided to screw us.

The single save file in Honour mode is supposed to be the autosave ? Looks risky as hell.

We really shouldnt be able to save during combat.

This needs to be adressed. Same thing almost happened to me when I first started, although it was at the start of the game so it didnt matter.

I missclicked save on 3 hp with my last companion in a battle on custom settings single save file. Solved it by turning game to explorer and reloading untill they either missed or used spells that didnt hurt me.

I was just wondering what happened if you got caught in a bug loop on custom mode post-honor defeat. Hopefully they'll add more save files if you switch to custom but I highly doubt it'll be soon :(

You can have more save files on custom if you choose--we chose to stick with the one. But this kind of thing is idiotic.

That is not a 'softlock'. That is player error.

I was unaware that the game choosing to autosave right as it was killing us was my fault. Thanks for your insightful contribution.

This is a nightmare. The only reason I play on Honor mode is the extra difficulty spike (as a barely, if ever reload in a campaign). I am nervous as hell to have only one save file so I do occasionally copy the file in other places of my computer/usb. I hope this will save the campaign if something like a big bug happens

Still, restarting a game just because of an honour wipe is for people who have a lot of time. :P I am definitely not throwing away hours of gameplay. So I feel for the OP.
