Halsin is a full wood elf, Jaheira is a half-elf, unfortunately one downside of being part human is half-elves don't live as long. (edit: as stated above.)

I think her getting close to the end of a half-elf lifespan is WHY you find the Rite of Timeless Body in her house (possibly).

For me, it's honestly not age. It's that she had her starring turn in two games already.

This game is a victory lap for her. Love Jaheira, she's wonderful. But she gets a ton of spotlight in Act II and a proper victory lap of finding Minsc and showing us her family in Act III. That's enough for me.

I do wish there was some diversity in the romances. Almost every romancable character is either a human/elf and looks about 30 yoa. Nothing wrong with that, but that's like 5 out of the 7 options.

But definitely understand *why* they don't want to make Jaheira a romance option in context of the previous ones. Besides she's just a slightly older looking half elf any way but at least she doesnt look like 30 lol

That's just playable DnD races in general. They all look like some variety of human.

Wasn't saying it was bad, but seems like people were going "Eww Jaheria is oooold" but yet they dont mind that lickity split with a 250 year old Minty... lol

BTW, Minthara might be 250 but she could live to be 700 like other elves ... most Drow don't live much past 400 cuz, well, they kill each other a lot.

I'm pretty sure the fact that Khalid died (at the beginning) in BG2 is canon for BG3.

IIRC, when you find Khalid's Gift (the amulet) in her house, she talks about him being dead.
