There ain't NO WAY they'd give the cougar route, ESPECIALLY not with a character brought in from prior games who had a whole story completed about her. TWICE!!

Best you might get is her being the doting grandma giving relationship advice like where to buy flowers and what tavern to take your partner on a date to.

Normally I'm on board with every female romance option we can get, but jahiera is such an iconic character, so much that even an old lady like me who read a couple of books ten million years ago recognized her right away, that it would seem out of place.

Besides, there's basically no confidence they would even do it right anyway. Let them sort out the existing messes first.

I'm totally happy with the 'bromance' arc between TAV and jaheira that the game offers.
I also like the way Jaheira and Minsc's relationship can evolve into Jaheira becoming his new Witch.
It's love, not the carnal/thirsty crushes of the twenty-somethings that make up most of the companions romance arc. I've reached middle aged myself and maybe that makes her more relatable to me. I certainly am old enough to see the difference between middle aged and 'grandma'.
Don't worry kids, you'll get there too eventually and you'll discover new depths in a lot of things :-)

Look, she's a mom, not a grandma. Although maybe I wasn't picking up on some cues, I can be daft that way, but I don't think any of her foster kids have kids of their own - yet?

She is getting up there in years for a half elf, the hair is going gray, she even says she's not as spry and mobile as she used to be.

She's a widow. Her husband Khalid died in the beginning of BG2. But she still holds on to gifts from him so he still means a lot to her. Dunno if the <Charname>/Abdel Adrian romance can be considered canonical in BG3, but that would have been her second relationship. (Because of her prior relationship as a quasi-auntie to Gorion's Ward, some always felt that one in BG2 was a little ... awkward.)

She seems to be happy being a single foster mom, busy doing that and leading the Harpers, not looking for anything else, especially anything age-separated from someone she calls "cub". I don't think modders can mod in new romances - yet. Wouldn't be shocked if this changes, that someone does one eventually.

Oh no, he's much older but he's a full elf. He's around 350 while elves can live to around 700. Jaheira is somewhere between 170 and 180 and half elves' lifespan is around 200.
