Meeting Astarion for the first time and he's bald?

I have a few mods installed. Everything is up to date and I'm not sure what the problem is. Any advice on fixing it?

That answers your question. There's some mods that don't like talking to each other.

Take them out, it will fix the problem.

Add them back in one at a time, testing the game each time until you figure out which one is causing the issue.

Now, I was just born yesterday, but if I were to look for a mod causing this problem, I might be looking at one that modifies the hair/head/face of Astarion (or characters in general).

Still, I would love a screenshot of bald Astarion, as that could be a keeper. (LOL)

You probably didn't let him drink your blood, his body lost vitamins, and vampire baldness affected him. This is called Baldurian vampiric malnutrition.
