[FIX/WORKAROUND] [OBSOLETE] Having the wrong character in conversation

For the longest time, I have been annoyed in this game by not having the right character lead in conversation with NPCs. I finally found a workaround and thought I'd leave it here for anyone else who pulls out their hair every time this happens (especially in honor mode, where this can end your run in some situations...).

Disclaimer; I've only done this once, at the end of the Hag fight , so no guarantees that it will work everywhere.

The fix is actually pretty easy: switch to a different character who is not in conversation, walk up to the moron who is trying to converse and... push him/her.. After pushing twice, the conversation was broken up and I was able to just walk up to the NPC with my main and start the conversation from scratch normally.

Definitely gonna have to try that. It sounds way better than saving/loading all the time.

Exactly, and that's not even possible in honor mode.. :)

Ah, gotcha. I'm on my first playthrough so I haven't tried honor mode yet. Just tried out the trick and it worked. Thanks for the tip :)

Neat! When I play again and get the wrong person (most often from the MC turning invisible thanks to the "gift" for landing a killing blow in the last round which, unless MC-specific, will cause the next nearest character to get the dialog), I'll try to have the right character shove the wrong person out of the way.

EDIT: My brain is seeing a comical, {shove} "Sorry about that. Ignore that person. You should be talking to me."

It doesn't even have to be the right person. I tried shoving with Astarion a few times but he only pushed a little bit so I tried it with La'zael and she shoved so hard the character went flying and instantly ended the conversation lol
