A King Bowser Build (Advice Appreciated)
So, I have Bowser as a level 3 Fighter, level 1 Warlock. I am curious, I want him to be as close to King Bowser from the Mario franchise as possible, yet still powerful. Would he have been better as some other combination?

Dragonborn for the fire breath. Probably some sort of tanky caster with fire based abilities and some physical based abilities like the Feat that gives the charge attack and charge shove.

Might be fun. Maybe Strength, Constitution and Charisma might be the stats to exemplify King Bowser and you'd probably multiclass Fighter with Warlock or Sorcerer. Wear Heavy Armour and use a Shield to be really tanky.

You need a Italian Halfling nemesis

This could be your Dream Visitor lol. You could also go Dark Urge so you are Bowser but with memory loss who is being pestered by an annoying halfling.

Subclasses I'd go with Battlemaster for Fighter to get some interesting melee / ranged abilities since Bowser is a bit of a brawler. Trip Attack, Menacing Attack are some good options.

Sorcerer you could go Draconic Bloodline Fire so that spells with fire damage deal more.

Or Warlock The Fiend and Pact of the Chain to get a minion to control.
Archfey and The Great Old One might be more thematic then The Fiend.

5 Fighter and 7 Sorcerer or Warlock maybe. Taking 1 into Wizard could have you learn the Cheeky Quasit scroll that you find but that might not be worth it. If you do that'd be 2 Quasits you can control as "koopas".

Strength-based Dragonborn Monk and go full fisticuffs, and take Tavern Brawler at level 4. Open Hand for more punching maneuvers or Four Elements to get a bit of spellcasting. Sprinkle in some Barbarian for Rage resistances. Berserker to throw people and objects around, or Wildheart (Bear) to be extra tanky.

This really is probably the best way to go about it, fighter is more of a weapon based class and by going dragon-born monk you're capturing the super smash type of moveset with firebreath included, it'll be enough to take you through the game. use the enlarge spell to get the size too

i mean if we're going off of the super mario rpg bowser, probably a barb or fighter, dragonborn obviously, he uses a lot of punches/throws mario a lot, so perhaps a throw build.

Definitely 4E for Fire Snake and Embrace of Inferno. Elemental Adept (Fire) for the damage buff, Cindersnap Gloves for the added fire damage.
