The issue it had, though, was the style and engine used for the game... barely even considered 2nd edition D&D except by setting. (Think the original Quake, but in the Forgotten Realms.)
So, a redemption is much needed 3 decades later. (It's 27 years now. It'll be at least 30 years when any related game comes out if someone gets started now.)
Also renumber the Gold box games and The temple of Elemental evil were great 2e games for the time
Like I said would love to see the same BG3 expand to the whole sword coast and beyond while not quite 5e is good rendition of DnD on the computer
Waterdeep (not inlcuding Undermountain) claims a population of almost 2,000,000 in the same year.
People will complain about the zone loading, but I see no other way around it without excising almost 3/4 of the city to have just 3 zones.
Expect something closer to 12 zones for just Waterdeep alone, not including Undermountain.
As for me, I'd be fine with that, but would the mass market be okay with it?
I thougth Dark Alliance is in the throne of s**t now...?
Me I don't mind huge games maybe each ward would be zone even a separate dlc i would pay for it been playing paradox games with 30+ dlc :P
As to hours to play a game a good game I am willing to put infinite amount of time if the game is good longer the better I don't get people who want to finish a game in a few hrs
I don't know how many times I had to play to learn just how much of a right ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a certain NPC is from putting the pieces together from several playthroughs. Worth it.
