When will Zents leave the hideout?

I just turned in the macguffin. They say they are leaving. When will they leave?

Is it after the next long rest?

I'm in Honor mode and I want to be ready to fight them before they leave.

They will stay until you move into the end of act 2 then you will no longer be able to travel back there. Basically they never really leave.

So I could wait to kill them until I get to like level 6.

Maybe the vendor will get better loot when I level up.

Yes, the items do upgrade. And yes, I abused this.

I once robbed them of those, under their very noses. Don't think I used them. I find I've got to use them almost immediately otherwise I'll forget.
