Reward for not using/improving illithid's abilities.
Hi all! I hope the developers read the threads from community. My question is this: I've learned from some other players (including bloggers) that throughout the game and at the final too, not using/upgrading an illithid's abilities does not reward or compensate for the player. Including with thematic game achievement in the player’s profile. How true is this statement? And are there plans to somehow work on this point in the future?

Thank you for your attention).

I cannot speak for the developers, but I can tell you there is no objective benefit to not using tadpole/illithid powers. There is an objective consequence, for Tier 2/Astral Tadpole, a visual effect, which can be cancelled by mods.

I don't believe there is an achievement for not using them, no. (If I am wrong, anybody else can correct me.)

It seems they were working on a "Daisy" storyline where tadpoles would have consequences, but it was cut from release.

I can tell you it is unlikely Larian reads Steam Forums. You'd be more likely to get their attention on Larian's own website, especially its Suggestions box.

Imagine if there was a no powers honor mode achievement

If the Steam community would act communal, it would be nice to get enough players to submit feedback in restoring certain initial ideas, regardless of why they have been removed. I am e.g. not fond that they changed the mechanic of the kidnapping.

Meaningful surface mechanics would be good.
