If you aren't, you should be. Let's start there.
Cool if you have made mods, I always praise mod authors, they provide things of value to other players for free. I guess the only ones I will condemn are those who unleash destructive mods that cause problems and never update them or stick around to maintain them.
I'm looking at you, "BG3 Mod Fixer".
It worked fine again after I re-enabled them with BG3MM (you can save profiles).
So I'd recommend re-installing the same mods with the manager this time while keeping an eye on a correct load order.
Not sure what you're trying to create but even as an author I'd think disabling and re-enabling with different profiles would be an advantage.
You will need to consult the Mod authors for Mods that are compatible for Patch #5 - Hotfix #17.
Be aware, that the coming Patch #6 will likely cause Mods to become problematic (again).
...curious.
Probably also is using sub-system Mods and those are what are causing the failures. :/
How did you solve? I modded my game way more than I should have, but had it right where I wanted. Could truly make the characters I wanted. As of today, all my mods have stopped working. The notice says "mods disabled." I honestly don't know what to do to fix it, or if it can be fixed.
It told me a long time ago my achievements would be disabled. I could overcome that; but I don't care; so I've never done anything about it.
I have Nexus Mod Manager, Vortex mod Manager, and BG3 Mod Manager. All have auto-updates. I'm not tech savvy beyond using the managers because I have used them for other games, like Dragon's Dogma for instance. My mods are listed in each manager as a back-up in case one get buggy. I don't know how to reinstall the mods beyond disabling them and re-enabling them, unless you mean I should delete the files, and re-extract them from their zips and put the new extract-paks into the manager. Do I need to do something similar with he extensions, like Script Extender and mod Fixer? And I don't know how to 'verify' the files. I'm being serious. I really don't know this stuff. A friend of mine uses just nexus Mod Manager, and he's also having the same issue.
All that while backing up mods and make them last is a matter of copy & paste.
What did the mods authors tell you about that?
