Why Palworld is way more popular than Baldur's Gate 3 (GOTY of current year)
At first sight BG3 can't be compared to Palworld ("They are different genres" - some would scream), but at the end of the day I find more similarities - both games rely on having great companions, both games offer great variety in ways to achieve goals, both games are made well and devs worked really hard to deliver great game for the players.

But why Palworld is so much more successful than BG3, someone would ask?

The answer is simple - no woke agenda and no alphabet characters pushed in your face. I'm 100000% sure BG3 would have the same numbers as Palworld if leftist agenda were not in the game.

So how do you think, why Palworld is more popular than BG3?

P.S. No, BG3 being turn-based RPG has nothing to do with how many players bought the game.

none of you ever actually answer this question, but i will still ask: how can you possibly need attention this badly? doesn't that embarrass you?

Simple answer is because it gets the kids on board. Any entertainment business that targets kids will be successful. Kids actually have a much broader network than your standard adult. When I think back to my school years, it only took one guy to talk about a SNES whatever game and next week half the class had it. This is the reason why most streamers and youtubers implement their fake sperg acts.

The most mindless form of entertainment will always have the biggest audience. This is like asking why is soccer so popular, it’s a bunch of sweaty guys chasing after a ball while chess is a niche.

What a steaming load…

Sorry to be blunt but the pearl clutching excuses to turn every thread into a whine fest about BG3 being inclusive, has long past reached levels of absurdity that even Monty Python could only dream of.

Palword is so crazy popular because it cleverly mixes the already popular survival game genre (resource gathering, construction, animal taming) with collect-them-all Totally Not Pokémon kawai along with shooter pvp.

It’s got bog all to do with “woke” or “anti-woke”.

Palworld has lower age rating. So wider customer base.
Palworlds genre is not so niche as BG3.
And as far as I am aware Palworld also has that body type nonsense.

Ok, go there play it then, until nintendo crash down your party, that’s it.

It's because Palworld doesn't push the globetard Earth conspiracy. Just look at the horizon, man! The Earth is flat!

Palword has PVP?

Would also like to ask.
All I heard is, that it is planned for a future update.
Is it already implemented?

I can see the appeal of a bargain price game that clearly rips off Pokemon and involves slavery; should kill with the 32 year old NEETs who are thinking about cutting their Dad's head off demographic.

I don’t think it has yet, but it’s on the way according to reports. I’d be very surprised if they didn’t include pvp since that’s a common element in games like Conan Exiles and Ark and so on

It's obvious that the OP doesn't understand how game trends work and loves to make leaps based on that ignorance with hot takes that grab attention.

All I can tell you is I've seen nothing but the game's cover. And it's so blatant a Pokemon ripoff it's not even funny. You're telling me that big yellow thing isn't just Pikachu dipped in some angry juice?

Hell, with all the nutty accusations people have made about this game -- say, where's the dude who sees a furry conspiracy everywhere -- I bet he would argue Palworld is secretly trying to appeal to zoophiliac furries ....
Dude Feb 1, 2024 @ 4:39am
well pokemon was a dragon quest v ripoff soooo you cannot hold that against palworld. I personally do not like survival so not for me but many people seem to like it.

And yes if larian invested a bit more into decent storytelling (even with lgb maybe just not so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much) it probably would be more of a hit. But that is speculation it did sell well enough for sure. maybe next time they go a bit more for storytelling. Won't be an instant buy for me though as all the earlier games (yes i played every single one of them) after that open middle finger against hetreosexual people
Dude Feb 1, 2024 @ 4:44am
what do you count as crpg? some people count zelda as crpg in that case bg3 loses. Hogwarts legacy also sold more and one could count it as an rpg.
