Yeah, you can not even pickpocket her afterwards.
The devs buffed her up a bit, if I'm not mistaken, because she kept dying.
They should do the same for the idiot in last light inn. That girl dies in one turn if she fails her save against paralyze and the consequences for her death are massive.
Nice, but not the best IMHO.
The shield the House of Grief boss drops is ridiculously tanky -- +3 AC, advantage on saves vs. spells (i.e. all spells, not just ones that target a specific stat) plus warding bond plus reflective shell plus a damage dealing/proning shield bash.
If I had a choice between a vanilla +2 shield and a +1 shield with all the toppings like the above, I'd take the latter 10 times out of 10.

Does the shield bash actually knock people prone? I've had 2 shields on my main character and Shadowheart since Act 2. I've not been able to knock even ONE enemy combatant down with a bash.
So, it's technically a useless ability as far as I can tell.
It and many other shields with the shield bash feature were able to do that, and in some patch or hotfix, Larian broke it and still haven't fixed it.
The projectile reflect works, and warding bond works fine to keep a companion safer, but the knockdown feature has been broken for a while.
Still, the other things on that shield from House of Grief are terrific.

Shield Bash has been broken for a while.. plenty of topics if you can wade far enough through all the bs topics on the forums :)
Agreed, I just recently acquired that shield and gave it to Shadowheart (take THAT Viconia!). But I was more concerned with the bashing function. Sounds like such a great ability for front line melee combatants.
