2. Yes, the evil playthrough locks you out of arguably the best NPC, Dammon, and other opportunities that snowball into act 2.
3. Don't think so, never tested
4. If you start attacking the grove, it will implode as the druids will start killing the refugees.
5. There was some sort of exploit, where you kill Karlach and Wyll, raid the grove, and resurrect them afterwards, so that they technically didn't witness it. Might be patched, no clue.
You will miss out on a lot of dialogue and loot if you raid the grove bc the tieflings show back up later in your story line (unless you kill em ofc)
If you want Minthara without using the loophole: raid the grove
The loophole:

Yes, you will lose too many opportunities, making it not summa summarum not worthwhile in the long term.
No significant experience differences whether you raid or not.
The grove dwellers are too weak to bother "assassinating them first". What you could and should do is snatch one of those druids "crowns" which allow you entrance when they close -> one way to do so, Nettie.
Nothing you can do about those two. It is normally either them and Halsin, or Minthara.
Not anymore, not since Patch 5. You could always get her pre-Patch 5 with mods and exploits. Post-Patch 5, there is a legit method for getting her without raiding the grove, though I think many people are finding it ... overcomplicated.
It is, and I would not say it is "legit".
More like a tolerated bug left behind due to popular demand and circumstances.
After all: when you play the game for the first time and so on, the only chance to unlock her that way is by chance when you play an entirely non-lethal run and do Halsin's quest in one swift swoop.
You can also recruit Wyll and Karlach this way without any weird stuff.
This wasn't possible until recently (patch 5).
If you did it right, she will be on trial there for incompetence. There's more steps for acquisition, but obviously it starts with convincing the folks there she should not be executed.
You lose the boots with +1 armor sold by Matt.
You lose the armor that halves physical damage from Dammon and you lose the armored owlbear.
You lose the potent robe (if you are Durge you lose It anyway)
You get also less tadpoles.
You can do most of the quest: you won't see Mizora anymore but you can still save the Duke. Karlach quest Is just about talking with engineers, she has funny reaction with Gorthas, the big miss Is not having Halsin and not being able to lift the curse.
Funny thing Is that content wise Minthara gives ZERO quests. That means that raiding the grove and helping goblins Is worse than just murderhoboing EVERYONE......you will get more loot and tadpoles if you murder anything.
1 - You can get her without raiding the grove.
2 - Yes, potent robe from Alfira and all Dammon sellable items, among others.
3 - Yes, all Tiefling quests.
4 - don’t know, never did.
5 - You can kill Karlach in Wyll’s quest and sacrifice him to BOAAL. Don’t know if there’s any other way to quest kill companions.
