i sneak attacked him and he didn't die, but instead of turning hostile he just ran off to one of those small race holes, burrowed down to the bottom floor, ran off toward the merchant goblin's area then just completely disappeared
i didn't see any hints that he would run away
Now I'm more intrigued than ever!
However that bug was normal for that particular build because the trident would fall on top of targets and deal fall damage to them, even upon missing. Not specifically with him.
