How do you use the instructions for weapons after you get sussur bark?
It a big boost worth of your time? How to do it?

Not really worth it, but if you are a completionist, then yeah worth your time I guess. The only Bonus iirc is +1 stat with Silence as an extra bonus.

You go to the forge in the blighted village.
Turn it on.
Add the bark.
Add a greatsword, sickle, or shortsword.

Thanks but if can´t get stuff above +1 it sounds like something pretty useless.

They changed the short sword to Great Sword. It is worth it if you use Great Sword. Silence each target you hit, very valuable. Still using it heading to Act 3.
Plus it looks cool, reason enough :)

The situations where it was useful... I have a hard time remember it being more than a handful of times.

Just do as yahboi1988 instructed to craft it.

I used it as a dagger on a dual wielder. And that was pretty much it.

Yeah but you spank the ahem "paladins fo Tyr", you get it for free if you save best tiefling girl. So only use is the Silence effect.

So.... IMHO ... silencing arrows > silencing melee weapons. And you can get those from merchants for a lot less work.

This has become a quest I always skip.

Sussar Bark weapons were a fun challenge during Early Access when we were capped with what we could get. But in the live game, I feel putting a quest like this in the Underdark doesn't make sense. This should have been a craftable weapon with something looted from the Phasespider Matriarch in my opinion. Then you could have had a reward worth the hassle of those spiders beyond a robe and some xp.

Almost nothing goes above a +1 in act one.

I'd argue the Sword of Justice is better than the Susser Greatsword.... Generally. It was really funny to silence spellcasters, but a free spell to get +2 AC is also really valuable in its own right.

Sussur Greatsword on a Berserker Barbarian, GWM user, or other character who can get additional bonus attacks is quite good and semi-reliable for shutting down spellcasters if you don't kill them outright first from sheer damage output.

Relatively minimal effort as well, since you kinda want to go that way anyway for XP and good secondary targets for Glut.

Of course, I´m not exactly arguing that VERY few options should be +2 in act 1. My OP was exactly to know if they exist and where they are in act 1.

Dagger, not shortsword. I know because I made one. And never used it.
