Circus of the Last Days (Spoilers and Discussion from Act III)
Is it just me or the Circus of the Last Days was potentially quite a dangerous place?

I mainly mean the Djinn. My character called him a cheat and then was transformed into a cheese. But okay, it was annoying but then I realized that the djinn is taxing us each time we roll the wheel, even if that is not always mentioned in the dialogue. Both I and my character annoyed, Astarion was sent to pickpocket the djinni. Then Astarion (as my main was banned from the wheel for his previous protests) rolled the wheel one last time and he hit the jackpot. And then the djinn teleported him into a jungle full with carnivorous beasts. Astarion came back with a certain precious weapon. But it was not enough. Astarion was sent after all in a potentially very dangerous place.

As the group was Lae'zel, Minthara and ascended Astarion, I decideded that there is nobody to cool down my bard, I shoved the djinni and... triggered a fight. The mummy died (as non-lethal damage does not work on undead) and because I thought ascended Astarion will not let that slide, also the djinn. The others (two red caps, a bard and a dryad) were knocked unconscious.

That leads me to the following thoughts:

1. The Circus of the Last Days was a potentially dangerous place, esp. because of the Djinn
2. maybe Bg3 does miss a reputation meter as the previous games. Not related to companions but more like how officials will treat you. That being said, I am not sure if killing a rogue djinni or an undead is considered a crime in Baldur's Gate.

3. If you are that far with the reading, please be free to share how you resolved your conflict with the djinn in your game?

Hey, hey, only the djinn and the mummy. The others live. ;)

If he has sent any of the other companions (even Minthara), I would have let him live. But I simply see no way ascended Astarion with his ego to let the djinn live. Regardless what my Tav wanted.
