Is Jaheira able to be saved in Moonrise Tower battle on Tactician?

She's an idiot, no other way to say it. I've reloaded 3 times now just because I'm trying to keep her alive. *Jaheira* let me run out in front of everyone so I can draw everyone's fire.

Do you lose the Harpers for the final battle if Jaheira is dead?

Sanctuary, Feign Death, Grease, Ice

Sanctuary is removed when you take action. She is not in my group, she is with her Harpers and she attacks every round, plus I don't have a healer/cleric/Shadowfart. Feign Death, she isn't in my group. Grease and Ice have nothing to do with the fact she just runs out in front of everyone and dies, she actually casts Ice storm in her first round.

I just aoed the large group with the half orc near to death at the start and jumped far in with my characters to tank those still remaining, then whittled them down while trying to keep the regular harpers alive and well.

Yes. She is dumb, but you can do it. If you do she will help with some damage but it will cost you some effort on your part. If you have a cleric just use him to make she stays alive. Also, target the enemies targeting her.

The most certain way of doing it: before launching an assault on the towers (i.e. when the cultists still think you're one of them):

1. Go to the prison level
2. Start the fight with the guards
3. Let the flying eyes see it
4. Let the eyes call reinforcements
5. Kill reinforcements
6. Repeat until there are no more reinforcements coming
7. Clean up the rest, go to the upper level to where gnolls are
8. Convince gnolls to eat their master

That's it. When you launch the assault, you will be met by Zell, a bugbear merchant and something like one assassin on top and Zell's bodyguard. You'll probably kill them all before they get a chance to do their turn.

make her join the party, and then you can control her. just leave her out of the battle alltogether.
if you are level 9 or 10, she has an OP blizzard spell. it carries

Lol, that's good. I never thought of that. Past that point in the game though and this is definitely my last play through.

This is what I do every time and she only dies if I am unlucky.

Yup, having her join you as a temporary party member is by far the easiest option.
Otherwise you have to arrange your whole strategy around her.
Incorporating her into yours makes so much more sense to me

^ yea but that defeats my whole purpose of trying to play the game as 3 fighters and Karlach. If I have to group someone, then I fail my personal challenge. Shadowheart just left my camp because I did Shar's gauntlet w/o her.

she will be in party as a pet , like extra, so you not have to change your party

This, and if you have this enforced group setup you need to maintain, then why try so hardnto keep her alive? You can't do any of her quests without her in the party later, and if she lives or dies here doesn't much affect the outcome other than that she becomes available for recruiting, which you don't need her for.

When I come back from freeing Dame A I went to Last Light and the quest for the battle at Moonrise was underway. Jaheira is already there. Are you saying I can recruit her as a pet before the fight starts? I'll have to check my saves and see if I can get her. I have a save right as the fight starts, not sure about before that. Thanks, I'll check.
