Best way to avoid missing companion scenes/dialogue in camp?
So just found out you can miss a ton of cutscenes and dialogue if youre not long resting extremely often. Whats a good guideline to make sure Im not missing any scenes by not long resting? Im barely in the game, literally still on the beach, but want to clear this up before continuing.

I know some people will say "you can get it on your next playthrough" but I dont replay story games personally, I dont mind missing side quests, silly hidden secrets, etc. I just want to make sure Im getting all the cutscenes and dialogue from long resting for companions because thats what I value a lot in these games.

Thanks!

Theres 9 hjouirs of lines for Astarion alone, you sure to miss some lines and will need to replay multiple times to get them all.

Aside from what's been posted already, other alternative is to use a mod which will tell you when camp options are available (eg Camp Event Notification on Nexus).

Theres a camp button on the map just talk to people in camp every once and a while. They don't have to be in your party for this.

Long resting too much can really mess you up. I'd recommend you consult a guide before doing that to check on timed missions. In Act 3 there is an important mission that requires you to save some important NPCs from execution. The first execution notice says it will take place in 5 days. There is a huge amount of content in Act 3 so if you long rest 5 times before completing that mission you will find them swinging from the gallows. On the other hand completing that mission too soon can mess up some other missions. Playing the game cold means you probably will miss things.

Long Rest after every major quest and companion quest.

I often long rest like 2-3 times in a row, without using supplies, to get all the cutscenes and stuff. Also run around the camp to talk to everyone before evening and in the evening.
