Yeah, without any agenda. Without any misconception. People are people. People are human. Some people may be different than you. They may have different interests, they may have different hobbies, they may have a different god. Some may even say their favorite color is yellow.
Point is, treat your fellow people of this earth with the respect they deserve.
They are you.
Halsin is a 'bear', and in the moment, he lost control of himself.
Taking it literally is just asking to get pointed and laughed at. Fantasy is about exploring the human psyche and condition through the allegory of fantastic elements. Not everything should be taken at face value.
He doesn't "lose control of himself", the player literally requests it and he's barely fazed. He's like "oh, are you sure? It's pretty large and vigorous." implying he's done this ♥♥♥♥ before, then the player says they like that sort of thing and they get on with. Then they shoehorn the squirrel in to be like "oh, it's only a meta-joke, please ignore how serious that whole thing was before and after the squirrel."
I have no idea why anybody would try make this deep or profound, it's the same character that fondly reminisces about his years as a Drow sex slave. Larian just has a few degenerate writers with paraphillias, it's no deeper than that.
I mean, Halsin was pretty deep...
The bit about the "human psyche and condition through allegory" certainly implied it. Truth is it was just a horny weirdo writer getting his paraphillia out on the page then hedging his bets with a sight gag. Same thing they do every time something deviant pops up, like the ogre or bugbear, or the necrophillia. There's only so many times you can say "only kidding" after doing something grim before it becomes obvious you're serious.

I'll admit I was going off what someone else told me wrt the Halsin scene because I have no sexual interest in Halsin so I never had any reason to do that scene even when my computer was functional enough to handle this game, but if you're not living in America, a culture where sex is NC-17 but horrific gore is PG-13, I'd argue most people can understand that sex is actually pretty funny.
Sex with animals definitely isn't funny.
I'm fairly sure it was Baudelaire Welch who shoehorned most of this bestiality crap in. Her initial plan for the bad Dark Urge ending was literally you wandering around "rutting" with all the "beasts of the land" to produce another Bhaalspawn. I guess they cut that because there was no way to spin it as another "joke".
