Is "Raphael" getting the crown really a "bad ending"? It only affects the Hells, not the rest of the forgotten realms
So why does it really matter or not enough for it to be considered a 'bad ending'? Technically isn't it more of a 'neutral ending'?

Although you might want to get the other endings with the crown which it might lock you out of?

As Mizora says, "it's always the fine print in the contract that gets you".

You only have a verbal promise from him to that effect, nothing in writing, and as I said, if you get the Epilogue, he basically says he lied. So?

Uh huh. And have you noticed every devil in this game lies ... Zariel (if offscreen), Mizora, Raphael, etc. A lot of companions say not to make deals with devils ... Wyll in particular knows how they will lie and twist things to always manipulate deals with them in their favor and to your disadvantage.

To answer your parting shot in the other thread, Columbo, it was "obvious" because I intentionally made it obvious so he was aware the conversation was being continued by the same person.

I did enjoy the paradoxical statement of "attacking somebody for ad hominem" though. That's a bit like saying "he defended himself by shooting the guy while he slept".

You know what is funny, my bard broke her contract with the devil by becoming a mind flyer and such he so did not get the crown from the elder brain, though guess the contract never did say when he would get it or when the elder brain had to be defeated.

This should be tagged as Spoiler. Just sayin'.

Friend, pursuing people in other threads over personal vendettas that have nothing to do with those threads is also in poor taste. I'm sorry the Bestiality Thread got closed. Don't blame me. I didn't ask for it to be closed.

Keep up this idiotic crap and you will be the 2nd person i block.

Unsure how to do it, I thought there wasn't a way to have a steam thread be tagged spoiler or have I just never figured out how?

Getting parting shots in to people who are banned is in "poor taste". Sort of the internet equivalent of kicking somebody when they are down, no?

Feel free to block me. You'd be the first person who actually does and I'd be quietly impressed.

Looks like a post of mine got deleted - and admittedly probably because it involved a personal attack, but alas, my patience with trolls is finite - allow me to repeat my advice.

It's fine to just put "Spoilers" or "Spoiler warning" at the top of a post, this signals to people its content.

There are also spoiler tags

they work like this

and hide any text so that people can't see them without clicking on them first.

So your post gets deleted for an attack, you repeat the attack, and I'm the troll? Your very first words to me were also an attack, so "patience" is a pretty absurd choice of word.

On the positive side, you'll fit right in with the crew you were sycophantically seeking approval from in the last debate, they do that exact same thing; idly threaten to block me, then just passive-aggressively talk about me instead of to me. Sorry buddy, you can either pretend to be above this, or you can actually be above this, you can't be both. That's that cake-and-eat-it mentality again.

Oh yes, historically every dictator was ok with what they initially claimed they wanted.

If you do so, at the epilogue, there will be an hint that, one day, he'll turn his attention to the prime. However, my personal opinion. Not even the crown of Karsus will enable him to master the endless hells and, honestly, unless the Netherese were indeed almost as powerful as Ao Himself I can't fathom Raphael matching Asmodeus, even with the crown...

You can guess he is only sweeting talking to you. In reality he will conquer everything. You might safe the realm for a couples of years but like in real life dubios allies will eventually seek greater ambitions.
Besides you are missing out with a great fight and loot if you don't fight him.

The Crown would likely be able to get Raphael to match or even exceed Asmodeus in terms of raw power (the Lord of the Ninth isn't actually A List in terms of god power and the Crown got Karsus at Mystra's level) but raw power is a less important issue with Asmodeus than experience and cunning and no magic doohicky is gonna make up that difference between the two.
The_Dipl0mat Jan 18, 2024 @ 8:52am
Most likely because he'd take over the world in a few years. He's already able to enter the realm of Faerun as is, so with that much power he can take over a vast amount of the hells. And why take over one dimension when you can take over two? Or even more...
